LYNN ROUYER, CHOIR DIRECTOR

Lynn Rouyer has always had a love for music. In elementary and high school, she was in concert choirs, sextet, triple trio, featured roles in “H.M.S. Pinafore” and “Mikado”. At Northern Illinois University, she auditioned for the concert choir, and then toured with them throughout the Midwest. After 24 years in public school education, she retired to follow her passion of music and drama directing plays, musicals and having her own children’s TV show.

Lynn’s Christian faith and love for singing had her in church choirs singing for the Lord. When Lynn and her husband moved to Munds Park, they became members of our church and Lynn, the choir. She has been the VBS music director, children’s choir director and a few years ago Lynn took the helm of directing our seasonal adult choir, beginning in May and continuing through September. Last summer the choir performed a “Christmas In July” Cantata.

All are welcome to sing in our choir, no experiences necessary, just a love of music. Practice in May is on Saturday, 2-4 p.m. and beginning in June on Fridays, 2-4 p.m. and singing at the 10:30 Sunday service. Contact Lynn at 602-622-2543 and lrouyer3@yahoo.com for more information.
